‘What’s a shortcut?’ is a quick intro to what’s possible with Shortcuts. When run, it’ll show three actions.
On watchOS:
– Toggle Cinema mode
– Ping my iPhone
– Turn Water Lock on
On iOS and iPadOS:
– Create a note
– Play a surprise song
– Turn on Dark/Light Mode
Because different actions work on Apple Watch than on iPad and iPhone, we first check where the shortcut is being run, then offer an appropriate list of options for the device.
When Choose from Menu runs, an option must be chosen, and only the actions inside the chosen option will run.
To play a random song from your library, use the Find Music action, filter out music videos and other media with Media Kind is Music, sort by Random and limit the response to one song. Then we pass the output to the Play Music action.
